Hi, I'm Cassie.

After knitting for decades, I fell in love with spinning wool when I neared the end of my PA school prerequisites. What started as a way to unwind turned into a full-blown obsession with every step of the process.

It started with spinning, then a co-worker offered me some wool from her sheep cotton, which I scoured, picked, carded and spun. The more I experimented, the more I wanted to learn. When it came to dyeing, I loved the way that it combined my creativity with the many chemistry classes I’ve taken.

When I'm not elbow-deep in a dye pot, I'm a Surgical technologist and hope to be a PA student next June— which is the whole reason this shop exists. You can read that story on the Why "Graduate Fiber" page.
